Presenting Your Research
Below you will find information on two of OSU's annual research symposiums as well as more opportunities to present research within the colleges and outside of OSU.
There you will find important submission requirements, deadlines, contact information, and additional conference resources. Be sure to communicate with your faculty mentor to make sure this conference is appropriate for your project and that you will be able to meet all submission requirements by the deadline.
If you are interested in presenting your research, talking to your research mentor or advisor about conferences within your field is a good place to start. You can also reach out to the Office of Undergraduate Research for suggestions.
The Spring Poster Symposium (SPS) is held in May for OSU students.
The Fall Virtual Symposium (FVS) is held during fall term for OSU students.

Additional symposia available to students at OSU
Graduate students, undergraduates, and recent graduates of Oregon colleges and universities are invited to submit an application to present their artwork at the State of the Coast Conference.

Creating Your Pre-Recorded Talk
A pre-recorded talk is a virtual presentation lasting either 3 minutes or 10 minutes, given at a conference or similar virtual forum, such as Canvas. In our case, these are presented as a video presentation. Click above to find tips, suggestions, and to see examples of pre-recorded talks.

An abstract is a brief summary of your research or creative project, usually about a paragraph long (250-350 words), and is written when you are ready to present your research or included in a thesis or research publication.

When you present create a pre-recorded talk, it is recommended that you create a transcript to be included below your video presentation so your viewers can easily follow along as you speak.
