Excellence in Undergraduate Research Mentoring Awards
The Office of Undergraduate Research; Graduate School; Research Office; and Faculty Affairs invite nominations for the Excellence in Undergraduate Research Mentoring Awards. These awards recognize outstanding undergraduate research mentoring by an OSU faculty member, an OSU graduate student, and an OSU postdoctoral researcher. Recipients will have direct and significant involvement with undergraduate student researchers, a demonstrable commitment to the research mentorship of undergraduate students, and a record of effectiveness and impact with respect to undergraduate student research and success. Excellence in Undergraduate Research Mentoring by a Faculty Member Award
The nomination period begins on September 24, 2025. All nominations must be submitted by 5 p.m., April 20, 2026. Awards will be determined by May 31, 2026.
Award Details
The recipient will receive an engraved plaque and an award in the amount of $1,000.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this award, nominees must meet certain edibility requirements
- Nominee is a current faculty member at Oregon State University
- Nominee must have provided significant mentorship to undergraduate students in research related endeavors at Oregon State University within the past three years.
Excellence in Undergraduate Research Mentoring by a Graduate Student Award
The nomination period begins on September 24, 2025. All nominations must be submitted by 5 p.m., April 20, 2026. Awards will be determined in May 2026.
Award Details
The recipient will receive an engraved plaque and an award in the amount of $1,000.
Eligibility
- Nominee is a current graduate student in a graduate degree-seeking program at Oregon State University
- Nominee must be making satisfactory academic progress as determined by their graduate program
- Nominee must have provided significant mentorship to undergraduate students in research-related endeavors at Oregon State University within the past three years
Excellence in Undergraduate Research Mentoring by a Postdoc Award
The nomination period begins on September 24, 2025. All nominations must be submitted by 5 p.m., April 20, 2026. Awards will be determined in May 2026.
Award Details
The recipient will receive a plaque with their name engraved on it and an award in the amount of $1,000.
